SweetSpot Strips
SweetSpot Strips were designed to make paddle tuning simple, consistent, and approachable — without the guesswork of traditional lead tape or weighted setups.
Most paddle weights require you to know:
- How much weight to cut
- Where to place it
- What it will do to your paddle
- And how to avoid accidentally making your paddle feel sluggish or unbalanced
SweetSpot Strips solve that.
What SweetSpot Strips Do
Each SweetSpot Strip is a single perimeter strip that weighs only 6g total.
It is designed to wrap the entire edge of an elongated paddle, with one goal:
To evenly expand your sweet spot — without changing your paddle’s balance
Instead of adding weight in one small area (which can make your paddle feel head-heavy, slow, or awkward), SweetSpot Strips distribute weight evenly around the full perimeter.
This helps:
✅ Expand the sweet spot (especially toward the edges)
âś…Â Reduce twisting on off-centre hits
âś…Â Increase stability and consistency
✅ Increase dwell time (ball feels like it “sits” slightly longer)
âś… Potentially unlock better control, resets, and accuracy
âś… Improve forgiveness without making the paddle feel heavy
Why This Works (Simple Explanation)
Think of your paddle’s sweet spot like a “hot zone” in the centre.
Traditional weights only affect a small part of the paddle — meaning you often end up with:
- Too much weight in one spot
- A paddle that swings slower
- A balance change you didn’t want
- And a sweet spot that still doesn’t feel consistent around the edges
SweetSpot Strips work differently.
The perimeter wrap acts like a magnet pulling the sweet spot outward
By distributing a small amount of weight around the entire paddle, the sweet spot expands toward the edge — where most paddles normally feel unstable.
Â
And because the weight is evenly distributed, you get the benefits without turning your paddle into a “hammer.”
Installation (2 Minutes)
Before you start:
Make sure your paddle edge is clean and dry.
Step-by-step
- Keep the adhesive backing on and wrap the strip around your paddle to find the best starting point
- Start point should be even on both sides of the throat, usually 2–3 finger widths above the grip
- Mark your start/end spot
- Peel off the adhesive backing
- Install the strip around the centre of the paddle edge, keeping it slightly taut as you go
- Press firmly around the entire perimeter to remove any gaps
Best results
- Leave it for 12 hours before playing
- (Longer is even better for maximum adhesive strength)
Removal
SweetSpot Strips remove cleanly.
- Peel the strip upward slowly
- No residue or marks should be left behind
Re-use
Â
- The strip can sometimes be reused if reapplied within a few hours
- (Before the adhesive fully dries out)
